Ok, it's down to the final 4 in the MLB playoffs:

ALCS: Boston Red Sox vs Tampa Bay Rays (series starts October 10th)

NLCS: Los Angeles Dodgers vs Philadelphia Phillies (series starts October 9th)

So, one last hurrah on the baseball picks for the season. Who do you think will win each League Championship series, and then who will win the World Series? Get your picks in before the first game on Thursday.

WORLD SERIES: I'm picking the Tampa Bay Rays to meet the Los Angeles Dodgers, with the Dodgers being the World Series Champs!

Im really excited about this years playoffs.  I'm rooting for a Rays (been a fan since 2004 when Tino Martinez was there as he was my favorite player and I have pulled for them since.) and Dodgers series with the Rays winning it all.  Go Rays!!!!

Gotta say I'd love to have seen the Cubbies play the Rays....since it's not possible ....

I'll settle for the  RAYS vs the DODGERS with the RAYS winning!

Red Sox vs Phillies with Phillies winning.

I wanted the Astro's but they didn't make it. Maybe next year.

Well, the Phillies are in... and unless the Red Sox stumble over a miracle (down 3-1 ) it looks like the Rays will be the Phillies' World Series dance partner.

That's 2 now. Don't you get sainthood in the Catholic church after 3 confirmed miracles or something like that? :-)

I won't jinx anything by saying the 3rd miracle will happen tonight.  But I'll let you know if it does!  :)

Though I actually have no rooting interest for either team (I'm generally just not a baseball person), I want the Rays to win because it's such a great story. Unfortunately, watching the way the Phillies dismantled the Dodgers I'm afraid they're going to be too much for the Rays. Either way, I just hope it goes 6 or 7 games! :-)

I'm slowly recovering from Tampa beating the Red Sox.  I will be rooting for Tampa Bay ~ they really are an exciting team, or the Phillis, Terry Francona used to coach there.

I think the Red Sox had an extremely good season - to get to game 7 of the ALCS with all the injuries they have had, Manny-gate, losing Mike Lowell at the end of the season, and Josh Beckett not being 100%.

We're so proud of Manny.  The night Philli beat LA - that very night - he said "I'll be watching to see who the highest bidder is.  Gas is up and so am I."   What a guy.

At least I will be able to get to bed earlier!

Only 150 days until pitchers and catchers report to spring training!  :)

Phillies are looking strong, up 3-1 heading into tonight's game... do they seal the deal or is it headed back to Tampa??

Monday's game was the weirdest game I've ever seen in the post-season.  I really think they should have called that game much earlier than they did.  It wasn't fair to either team, and could actually have resulted in someone getting hurt if they couldn't see a ball coming, or slipping on the field, etc.  Well, we will see what transpires tonight.  One thing, we should see the end of the game before the 11:00 news for a change.  :)

True. The only potential positive I can see is that they will probably get a much larger viewing audience tonight because of the odd circumstances than they otherwise would have. Good exposure for the two teams which, unfortunately, were not thought by MLB and the media to be good "draws" for a tv audience in general outside their respective markets.

Congrats to the Phillies and all Philly fans! It was a strange finish, but none the less sweeter in the end I'm sure!
