Good military SF series with an all-too-perfect Honor Harrington in her first outing. Don't expect finely drawn characters here, but you will find long and very detailed space battles and lots of technical jargon about the spacecraft and their weaponry. Weber keeps the action going in space but the political maneuvering on the ground tends to drag.
