I thought this was a little too complicated so I was glad to finish it; sort of a "glad it was over with" feeling. While her book "Fire In the Thatch" presented us with a victim you could really feel bad for, most of the characters in this story were unsympathetic, entitled jerks and although the identity of the victim was in doubt at first, I didn't really care who it was -- a flaw in a murder mystery. The detective was a pleasant chap, at least. Probably more enjoyable if you are familiar with London streets since there are a lot of "went down XXX road to YYY lane," and such.
