Richly detailed 760 pages with B&W Illustrations from original wood cuts it appears. This is a two Volume hard cover Set. This book is Volume Two. it weighs about 2 pounds per volume, and is a serious work for civil war buffs. An illustration seems to grace about every second page, with historical renderings of things as they were then. War-time Sketches, wood cuts, photographs (period), Maps, magazine art from the period, etc.
