Ms. Scott is one of my favorites for escapist fiction (I have a tough time admitting I read the romance novels, so I euphemize), and this light read is no exception to the fun I have with her work. The title is misleading and weird, though, because there's no bawdiness at all in the main character, Anne, but if you can ignore the title and focus on the story and the period details, you'll enjoy this book.
