When I saw that the movie was based on a book series I decided the movie was not enough and I needed to know more about these characters and this world. So why not go straight to book two, you ask?
I did not want to miss anything that might have been changed or edited due to the way movies are made sometimes they create a visual shorthand in order to get the ideas that many chapters and plenty of time as reader can have by reading a book.
There a way more details in this telling, so the movie experience is enhanced by the world taking on more information, but the skeleton is there to enjoy.
