The Beautiful Ones by Adrianne Byrd was amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and as with most fantastic books, I could see the characters running through my mind as a film. The book centers around childhood friends Ophelia and Solomon. They have had feelings for each other since childhood, but neither wants to ruin the friendship by pursuing a romance. When Ophelia becomes engaged to a handsome, rich man named Jonas, Solomon realizes he will be losing the love of his life. When Jonas becomes jealous of Solomon and Ophelia's feelings towards him, he asks her to make a choice that alters her relationship with Solomon. I won't give away any more tidbits because this is a journey you will want to experience for yourself. A plus.
