Very hard to get into. I could not get past chapter one. It seemed like the auther did a good job getting the story moving quickly into the drama and action, but I couldn't get past all the little breaks and explanations of her and her husbands past together. It was too disruptive to the story.
Maybe if she had kept most of the explanations and back-stories to a little later when the drama died down I could have made it through the first chapter. Sadly this is in my get-rid-of pile.
The story of a young woman who had the courage to believe she could change her life--a life of loving the wrong men, loving men who abused her, letting other people direct the lives of not only her but her son as well. Susan Kidd decided to take control of her own life and the future of herself and her son--leaving the past behind.
