While I like her books, and have many, it appears that she is just recycling themes, and rushing through instead of fleshing out her characters. There are a few of her novels that are nicely done, many of her works (especially her shorter ones, seem to rush through with out of date phrases (I have never called a person a "Dish" in all my days), and trite relationships. She has proven to be a viable talent as an author, why she appears to be phoning it in (and her editor allowing it!) is beyond me.
DP fans will find this book appealing, but if you are new to her as an author, you might want to look elswhere.

This book is so sloppily written. Palmer repeats conversations almost word for word, attributes thoughts to the wrong characters, has people wearing almost nothing in the middle of winter... please, someone find her an editor! Other than that, this was an enjoyable, nicely steamy romance, though I found the mystery sections pretty dull.

answer to those who gave this story a poor rating, may I suggest you first read "After Midnight" in order to appreciate the full impact of the relationship between Phoebe and Jeremiah. Believe me, their foundation story in that book is stunning.
Love the Long Tall Texans series, so this was a good read.
This is a great book and I love Diana Palmer I am totally hooked on her books&look forward to reading more of them.
Very good book couldn't put it down.
This book was very interesting.
I enjoyed reading this book. I finished it in two days, I was unable to put it down..
NOT MY USUAL CUP OF TEA BUT NOT A BAD READ
An interesting mystery & a romance to care about. Palmer delivers again!
Great!
A love story, with a little humor thrown in as well as a little mystery. A good read and I recommend it. Rating 1 to 5, I rate it a 4.
Loved this book. Steamy and tender at the same time.

Diana Palmer does it again! Another great book!
little slow but good
I liked the theme as I have a "thing" for sexy long-haired Native Americans. However, this is not the best DP I have ever read. The story seemed kind of choppy. Also, it was a stretch for me to believe an FBI agent would be making out in a car totally oblivious to everyone and everything while a killer was trying to kill his lady. Yet, this occured a couple of times; the sheriff even interruped them once. I will continue to read DP as I think she is a wonderful author. I just didn't particularly like this one.

If you're ready for a good romance, this is it. Murder, the FBI, suspense against a background of the NC mountains with Native Americans, both Cherokee and Comanche.
Jeremiah Cortez and blonde beauty Phobe Keller are reunited when the FBI sends him to investigate a murder near Phobe's Native American Museum where she is employed. Teaming up, the two delve into conspiracy, deception, and a love more powerful than anything they have ever known.
