Beg for Mercy is one of the best romantic suspense books I have ever read. This is the kind of book that puts you on the edge of your seat and leaves you wondering who the bad guy is right up until the author finally reveals it. Great read for both the suspense and romance elements, absolutely loved it and cannot recommend it enough. Just a forewarning though, this book is gritty; it does contain some pretty graphic violence including rape so if you can't stomach that sort of stuff it might not be for you.

Fantastic rollercoaster ride! The story sucked you in and wouldn't let you put down the book. The characters were strong, sexy, and smart. I want to read all the books Jami Alden has written!

well hell, this is one of the better Romantic Suspense books I've read this year...and I think I'm going to tentatively add Ms Alden to my auto buy list....

Beg for Mercy is long, thrilling, chock full of story, consistent, has a number of well drawn out characters, and kept me on the edge of a my seat for a good long while... I loved the main characters, as well as all the secondary ones, they definitely drove the story for me. Honestly, though I think my all around favorite aspect of the book, is the heroines devotion to her brother... She doesn't let anyone sway her, she knows perfectly well how the world is painting her, but she doesn't let anything stop her. That unswerving loyalty just made her one of my all around favorite heroines...and made me appreciate my own brother a whole hell of a lot more :D

The only down side was the villain was easy to figure out...but IMO Ms Alden does a good job of throwing in enough doubt, that I was never 100% percent sure I was right. Quite a few of the aspects of this story set up the next book, but you don't really realize that till the ending, and for me, they just made me want to read the next book even more!

I enjoyed this book a lot. A very good thriller with a great romantic story in it too. I realizes who the killer was halfway thru book but so much going on in story it made you want to keep on reading...

This is my first time reading a thriller by Jami Alden and I'm thoroughly entertained. I loved the characters and the story line. I devoured this book in days trying to find out who the real killer was and if Sean would be set free. I loved how the author was able to put down all the gruesome details of what a serial killer would feel when he did the things he did. I was horrible in a fascinating way.

I only wish the story didn't rush some of the story in the attempts to shorten it. Some of the parts jumped and felt quite rushed. Still I think I'll continue the series and hope that the following books are also good.

I didn't finish this--maybe because I just finished a book about rape and this deals with rape/killer same-o same-o, I did give it a try until 100 pages, most of the book is page after page of 'thinking' 'descriptions', etc., I skimmed through a lot of pages because it just wasn't moving the story along, just another romance.
