I have a copy of the Leisure Arts booklet "I Can't Believe I'm Crocheting! Crochet Like a Pro in No Time! Lefties Too!".  It's 35 pages long, has detailed instructions/diagrams for beginners, and instructions for a variety of projects (including a very cute koala bear doll).

It's free to whoever first sends me a PM with a mailing address! (I thought I'd give the PBS crafters a shot first before posting in the Book Bazaar...)

Full Disclosure: The booklet's unpostable by PBS standards: There's a small stain (~1inch square) on the back cover, right-hand corner-- it could be easily cut away. There's also a little bit of dried glue on the front cover.
