Some elements of the C++ standard library will be introduced. These will be the features that provide essential support for the language syntax that is discussed. While the Standard Template Library (STL) will not be discussed to a significant extent, a few elements from the STL that are important to the notion of modern C++ will be introduced.
All language concepts that are explained in the book will be illustrated with working program examples. The book also includes a more substantial example that is developed over several chapters. Most chapters include exercises for the reader to test their knowledge. Code downloads are provided for examples from the text and solutions to the exercises.
