A very under rated book! I gave 3 stars only because there are so many great books and I don't give out stars easily.
Dave had aspirations, goals and seems to be a genuine nice guy. Throw a nice guy who is homosexual and a scab (so called) into the merciless profession of being a major league umpire and you have on story to tell.
The book details the egos of the players, the huge $$$, the secrets, being thrown under the bus by your peers, the good ole boy network, the cruelty of those involved. It was Dave Pallone against a very angry Everybody!
Very, very good and under rated book!
