I thought this wasn't going to be as tight and well-plotted as it turned out to be. The beginning was a little loose and unfocused, but I ended up very impressed with Hill's ability to create tension out of very simple situations. Her characters have depth without being overbearing, and I came to care deeply about what happened to Jackie and Kay. A good read!
