Her name is Bianca Nicole..beautiful name..suits her well. From the moment she came into my life I knew.. I saw it in her eyes, that mischief, that twinkle that without a word told me I was in for THE ride of my life. She came to me without instructions so I had no idea how to raise her, but I am doing my best. Little did I know my best wouldn't be enough for a 15 year old girl. I've become her enemy(in her eyes) when all I ever want is to be her #1 person. Maybe I made the mistake of trying to be her friend, thinking it would bring us closer. Now she is out of control. She blames it on me giving her a step-father, on me moving her to another state. I have tried everything in my power to keep her safe and happy.. but nothing works. It's as if we speak two completely different languages. I love you Bianca but i refuse to love you to death.

wow . . . very real. i can relate to biance a lot - teens go through such rough periods in their life, and they often feel like they cannot trust without being hurt. if this is as real as it sounds, let her have her space - she'll come to you.

It also helps to see a family therapist. Sometimes they can tell you things you are doing that set off bad behavior -- or tell you that it is not your doing and how to address it. But you want your teen to know they can come to you safely. There are such dangers out there. Good luck. Mine are young still, and just like guitar, thank goodness. I am lucky, but did go for help when they were younger, and it did help.

Wow--very intense. The ending is extremely powerful. I wish you much luck. I have two teenage boys who have so far been no trouble, but God knows that can change in a New York minute...

I had four teenagers at once. Three boys and a girl. They all turned on me and they all turned out great. Now I have four wonderful grandchildren. Keep loving your daughter and she will come around. I know I put my mother through hell when I was a teenager also. I was a hippie drugs and all. I had the time of my life but finally grew up and became responsable. My mother loved me through it all. Hang in there.
