This book edition is printed on great paper and looks to be very sturdy. The contents include lists of things to take and consider when hiking with your dog. The area covered is Austin, San Antonio, and Houston (Gulf area). I'm only familiar with the Austin area and so can only speak to that. The maps and directions look to be very good. The maps include topography. The trails listed include requirements to hike with your dog on that trail. I thought this was a very good book and if I still lived there I would keep it.
