His poems are so inspiring. They touch on several subjects, and are filled with the "human" touch of the author. Some of the poems include; From my Armchair, Daylight and moonlight, and a famous "Paul Revere's Ride - "Listen my chilren and you shall hear.....". Also, the moving story of a ships' captain and his daughter who goes to sea with him, and confronts a rough storm - "The Wreck of the Hesperus". Wonderful stories to introduce children to classic literature by using the shortness of the poems and degree of adventure compared to a long bedtime story that may be way over the attention level of the child. In these poems are actual adventure, peril, historical information. The poems here tell interesting stories that can be read or told in a short time, and still provide exciting and attention getting lines of a whole novel. I highly recommend this to adults or children - the classics rock! lll
