Hello everyone,

I would like to know what you think was the best series (Harlequin, Silhouette, or other) within the last 3 to 5 years? I've been taking care of my 86 year old mother for the last 4 years and have not been able to keep up with the newest books.  So, I thought I would ask all of you, which author(s) / publishers had the best series in the last few years?  Do I make sense now? My personal favorites inclued the Judy Christenberry 's Brides for Brothers, Elise Title's Fortune Boys, Hannah Howell's Highlander Series.

What is the newest series that has been good?

Wyndal

I usually  only read historicals....so with that in mind....under the Harlequin Historical banner....the Silk and Scandal series. I've never read a series like it-with continuing characters through out but written by different authors.

Authors include some of my HH favorites:  Louise Allen, Julia Justiss, Christine Merrill and others.  Think there were 12 or so titles in all; all released over the period of a year.

Contemporary?  I really liked Nora Roberts last two...I really like the way she writes "guy".  The Wedding Quartet set and the Boonsboro trilogy.

Thanks Jan for the referals.  I like Harlequin Historicals also.  I haven't read the sets you recommended.  I'm going to have a look at them.

Thanks,

Wyndal

Ok, my lack of remembering these two  earns me a head slap.....Grace Burrowes  and Joanna Bourne.  Love both of these ladies-all released within the last couple of years.  Intertwining characters/family with both.  Late Georgian/Regency....

in the Blaze line (hot!) I like Rhonda Nelson's (think she has a couple of series or one series and others independent), Vicki Lewis Thompson's Sons of Chance series, and there's another set in Alaska and I think the author is Jennifer LeBrecque.

at the opposite end of the lineup with christian/inspirational romance from love inspired I like RuthLogan Herne's - she has 2 maybe 3 series and Winter's End is my fave book out of the first 3  probably out of the whole bunch-sad though, Cheryl Wyatt's military series is very good, also like missy tippens and Mia 'Ross's was pretty good but haven't read all of that series yet

in the harlequin intrigues I like Julie MIller

in 'regular' books I like contemporary and paranormal mostly - light/funny but I make some exceptions - like Jeaniene Frost (not too light), Kerrelyn Sparks (gottenbehind after about 8-10 books), Lynsay Sands - still keep up with these
