Hi, I am somewhat new to gardening. I have lived in apartments for the last few years and have only been able to have plants in containers. Last summer, we moved to a house with a (large) garden. I planted a few tomatoes and beans (in the middle of July) and they did well, although obviously were rather late.

Anyway, I'm looking for a book that details when to plant, how to plant, how to care for, etc. a variety of vegetables. I'm in Southern Idaho, if it matters. If it's on Kindle, that's great. I just bought "The Garden Primer" by Dimroch on Kindle, as it looks like the sort of massive tome that I'm looking for and it has good reviews. If I don't like it, though, I can return it for up to a week. And I'm open to more that one book.

The book doesn't have to be on PBS... it seems most of the good ones are wishlisted.

I'm also interested in fruit. We have a concord grape vine, an apple tree, an apricot tree, and the neighbor's raspberries are working their way toward our land, lol. I think the so called "cold-hearty kiwi" look interesting...

I saw seeds today for the first time in a local grocery store and bought a few. I know it is too early to plant them (our average last frost date is May 8) but I just couldn't help myself.

Thanks!
