I just bought a Betta and was looking for a good book to provide basic care having never owned a fish before. While this book provides LOTS of detailed information, I found it to be too involved for what I wanted. It provides detailed explanations of the Betta's natural habitat, maps of where they typically are from, information about breeding, etc. If you're looking for something to provide extensive knowledge about this "beautiful warrior", this is the book for you. If, like me, you want to know how to have a happy, healthy betta without all the extensive added info, you may want to consider a different guide. <>
