The book description gives you the gist of the story. I found the story line to be great fun laced with romance and mystery. Sandra Schwab is a writer to watch for. Her characters are well developed, the story moves at a pace that is just fast enough to not drag, and there is enough mystery to keep you turning the pages.

Regency romance mixes with dark pagan magic in an unexpected and satisfying way. Although I found some aspects of this book annoying, I loved it by the end. It managed to have all the standard elements I really want in a historical--believable world building, betrayal, heartbreak, redemption--yet be utterly unique.

Pretty good read, I liked the others better but this one just took a little longer to get into and then it rocked.
