Not what I was expecting, really. I thought it would just be some life lessons. This is a great book for anyone considering starting their own business, especially in the real estate industry. Ms. Corcoran built here business up with the help of her own life lessons and wise words from her mother. You won't put it down til you finish it!

Informative and useful advice. Fun way to learn to look at situations differently.

âThe book offers details of her dizzying rise from dyslexic D-student growing up with nine siblings in Edgewater, NJ, to queen of Manhattan real estate.â (People) âCorcoran's humanity, humor and wisdom gently convey worthwhile lessons for those who would like to succeed on their own terms.â (Miami Herald) âA practial, funny compendium of advice that should stick with any reader.â (USA Today) âA likeable and worthwhile book, an honorable contribution with heart.â (Publishers Weekly) âPart memoir, part rough guide to business and 100 percent in-your-face glee.â (Working Mother) âThese easy-to-remember and pithy words of advice can be used by anyoneâ (Cathleen Black, president, Hearst Magazines)

Great Book!

Her stories are humorous but yet offer fundamental simplicity that has long been forgotten in today's hurried and bombarded with informationals world.

Her humble beginnings coupled with her tenacity day after day are to be cherished as a anchoring primer for any life long goals. Simply written but colored through her "cutesy" personality with sometimes funny other times sad life experiences.

Her personality comes across throughout the book.... her voice is akin to that of a dear sister or relative showing you the ropes of life.

This book is really useful..though it details how she moved up in real estate, it really has some really useful lessons for everyday life or if you are going to be an entrepreneur. This was a fast read and very interesting..it really captured my short attention span!
