Publishers Weekly says "The dialogue snaps with intelligence and humour and the characters become fully dimensioned." My thoughts; I thoroughly enjoyed the book.

Perry's third novel, a standalone, and today we could call it "Thomas Perry lite". It's a very fast read, with witty banter and some odd characters, but there's really not a lot to it. Closer in tone to Metzger's Dog than his Jane Whitefield series, but not as believable. The concept, certainly believable, but even in 1985 the bad guys not so much. Still, lots of action and a fun time.
