I loved this book. This is one I recommend to all my friends. Hard to put down.
Way too "chick-lite" for my tatses.
Bertie Byrd sure has the mishaps of Stephanie Plum but without all the New Jersey grit. This happens in Sweet Meadow, Georgia and life is as sweet as the towns name. The only real mystery is who is stalking Bertie, this guy name Jack the Tipper.
Her hometown is full of nuts, who call her for rides to the DR,or a grocery run, but she loves them all. She loves her family and treats them well. She isnt a lost girl unhappy with her life like in chic lit. She takes each new mishap with a ounce of pluck. I really liked her.
This is only book one in the series. I want books 2 and 3, but they are all wishlisted right now.
