This is the "lists only" thread for the Biggest Book Loser Mini-Challenge. Just make a post where you can keep track of your TBR "losses" and your "gains".

Your TBR is made of any book you have that you have planned to read one day. These books do not have to be listed on your PBS TBR page. Any book that is removed from your TBR counts as a loss. These can be books you read and added to your keeper shelves, books you read and posted here, books you decide you no longer want to read... The point of the challenge is to whittle down your TBR stack, so anything that causes a book to be removed from your TBR counts as a loss.

A gain is any book added to your TBR after February 1st. At the end of the year, I will figure out everyone's gains and losses and announce our "Biggest Book Loser". I might also figure these numbers out and post them occasionally throughout the year just so we can see how everyone is doing.

You can count ONE book you started reading in January as a loss in February.

This challenge is for all books...not just historical fiction.

If you have duplicates of some books, you can count them both as a loss if both are removed from your TBR.

You do not have to post your total number of TBR books here...unless you just want to.

Ebooks and library books do not count.

Books purchased just to post do NOT count because they were never actually a part of your TBR.

Anyone can participate in this challenge - you do not have to be signed up for the other challenges to play here.

If you have any questions, ask them in the Biggest Book Loser chat thread.  If you know someone who signed up in the other thread, but doesn't visit this forum enough to know they need to make a post here, shoot them a pm so they end up in the right place.

The Life of Elizabeth I, Alison Weir

The Virgin Queen, Christopher Hibbert

My TBR has 134 (as of February 1st). My TBR on Dec 31, 2011 was 102. I got so confused trying to keep up with what was coming in and going out that I finally gave up. At lease my TBR pile is smaller by 32 books, so that is good.

As of the end of February

Books lost: 28

Books gained: 11
