This is probably only interesting if you love Bill Peet's books. The illustrations make the book come alive.

We just returned this book to the library and we loved it. My second grader who loves his book read almost the whole thing and it was long. There were pictures galore and the things he did were very interesting and it was told in a fun way:)

When I was a little girl, I loved Bill Peet's stories and drawings. I began recycling after reading "The Wump World," and laughed hysterically when I saw an area of my summer camp was named "Shady Glade."

So, imagine my glee when I read the autobiography about the man who wrote these great books: Bill Peet. I had no idea that he worked for Disney (and wrote the screenplay for many Disney movies!) and also wrote so many great books for children.

This book is illustrated throughout by Peet in his inimitable way, which adds to the charm of this delightful life story.

Great for reading aloud or for independent readers. Or adults...why not?
