It could be dry, since it's a history book after all, but it is surprisingly informative, though narrow in subject matter. To see what my ancestors dealt with during the war, I checked this book out and found conditions were pretty bad, but that some attempt was made to make life as "normal" as possible for the occupied. Occupations suck, though, and this one was no exception overall. A good read for war buffs.

This book is dying for a map (the front cover doesn't count). My first thought was that it is a pro-German view (maybe that's true, as opposed to a pro-Nazi view), it presented Hitler's decision to invade as preemptive rationality (the UK was launching an invasion at the same time), it claimed that the occupying troops were well behaved, and that there was very little 5th column support during the invasion, or active military resistance after the invasion (at least in Norway's case), much as people would like to say otherwise when it was fashionable. It has nothing good to say about Quisling, but claims he knew nothing of the invasion beforehand.
