Simply Brilliant. Stanley the author of one of the great Mars tales of all time, A Martian Oddessy, strikes gold here with a story of future history about two immortals and their conquest of America after a holocoaust. If Stanley hadn't died at an early age, just from the stories and novel he left behind, he would be accounted (and should be anyhow) among the greats of the Golden Age of science fiction.
