Excellent read. Must read if you have seen the movie. There have been many liberties taken when filming the movie.

Vibrant, youthful, and a grandmother at forty-two, Maggie O'Connor has lovingly raised her drug-addicted daughter's child ever since the newborn appeared on her doorstep three years ago. But when little Cody is kidnapped and sequestered inside a satanic cult, Maggie's world is shattered by unimaginable evil. Drawing strength from the bond she shares with her granddaughter, Maggie vows to fight anyone and everyone who dares to claim this child for themselves.
Even the devil.

I enjoyed this book a lot. It's 20 times better than the movie.

Mystery & mysticism; romance & reincarnation; suspense thriller with excorcisms and black magic... it gets a bit over-the-top at times, and yet it's seductive. If you have no patience at all with supernatural elements in fiction, you won't enjoy it -- it takes very little suspension of disbelief, however, to get sucked into the suspense.

What if your drug addicted daughter left a newborn baby on your doorstep and disappeared? Whatb if she came back 3 years later and took the child into a satanic cult? Would you risk your soul to save her?The law wont back Maggie up but the exorcist priest believes, and the rabbi who practices Kaballah believes. But time is running out because everyone wants little Cody, even the Devil.
