Am I wrong or did I inadvertantly make this book unpostable? When I was trying to "break into" the extremely well wrapped package, I caught 3-4 pages with my scissors and put a small slit/tear in them. The slit is probably about 1/4 inch and doesn't extend into the print at all.

Darn, this is a wish listed book, and I hate that I ruined it myself!!!!!!

If you cut pages than it's unpostable. You can still ask for a credit for it though.  You just can't post it to FIFO. You can offer it in the Book Bazaar, explain the damage and if someone is willing to pay a credit for it you can post it right to their WL.  What you can't do is post the book and then PM wishers to ask if they mind the damage.

There might also be a thread going for the books genre in which you can offer the WL book.

Also put it in your signature line (see Settings tab on your Account page).  I recently was lucky enough to get credits for some lightly "unpostable" books that way.
