British Attorney Lennox Kemp deals with both the snobish, upper class and the illiterate, poor class and isn't sure which is worse as clients. His duties and investigations take him from the manor of the posh and their lavish parties to the dirty, trailer park and abandoned wives and children. In this novel however, the two have a great deal in common and the author neatly ties up all the loose ends. An enjoyable read.

A well written English Manor house murder mystery. Attorney Lennox Kemp's reputation for falling over dead bodies had begun to precede him. Rich and poor, Lennox Kemp knew they all had there peculiarities. Chasing errant husbands could be both irritating and frustrating. And rude, unwashed - and broke - Mrs. Sorrento didn't make the job any easier. On the other side of the tracks and just as seamy - although disguised behind fine crystal and patrician smiles - were the Courtenays. Twins Viian and Venetia were rich, reckless and probably quite ruthless. They needed Kemp to oversee the legalities of raher izarre plans for their assive inheritance. Its only when the paths of thes clients cross that Kemp discovers he's unwittingly become a bit player in an elaborately staged performance of greed, deceit and muder and that the next body that falls may be his own.
