I have read of a few of Charles Stanley's books and have loved all of them. He is solidly based on the Bible. His writing is fresh. His words have changed my life. I remember reading this as I was walking through a very difficult time in my life. This book completely changed the way I saw that situation. I still don't like hard times or tough situations but I view them differently and approach dealing with them much differently.

Outstanding book. God works in mysterious ways. Found this book when I was broken. Explains how God uses brokenness to build us. It showed the positive side, though one may have to have some patience before understanding the significance and great gift of brokenness. It not only put me on the path to wholeness, but carried me to the other end. It taught me how to have a more intimate relationship with God.
Amazing book! Not what I was expecting, but honest and led by the Lord!
