Basically it's paranormal (sort of). An avenue for steam to roll off the pages of a book that's put in the romance category. Escalate Laurel K. Hamilton and make it MUCH more lightweight. This is not a BAD book and the writer is fairly good at the turn of the phrase but some women will probably be offended by the images of total voyeurism and group activities that run rampant throughout including a steady reference to menage. If that is what you are after then go ahead and give it a read. I would buy it again which is the BEST review I can give the author!
I thought that this story was okay. It wasn't the best I'd ever read, but definitely decent enough to finish. I sometimes did feel that the author could have been more descriptive for several scenes (that weren't sex) because I think it would have made it a better overall read. As much as I read these for the erotica, I still want a good story and at times it made it feel like she wanted to get action scenarios done quickly and didn't worry about making sure they were polished and more detailed.
I was expecting a historical erotic novel, and discovered that it was a historical VAMPIRE novel. I'm not too fond of vampire novels, but I did enjoy this one - very erotic, very graphic. NOT for beginners or innocents. Definitely for those of us who are experienced and/or jaded.
I LOVED this book. It has a great plot and truly lovable characters. It's hot and steamy in all the right spots. but it also has a back story about loneliness and wanting to belong somewhere and be loved. its a really great story and i would recommend this to anyone. who wouldn't love a story about a love among three? Read it and you'll love it.
Not bad not great either. An erotic tale with paranormal elements. I found the previous book, Blood Red, by the same author more compelling and interesting. The heroine in this book just didn't appeal to me. The plot and characters in this book are very similar to Blood Red so it was a case of deja vu for me.
