If you have seen the movie "1408" with John Cusack and was impressed (or scared) by it, you really should listen to the original story.

If you ever underwent the painful ordeal of "kicking the habit", you will relate to the characters in these stories in a personal way.

The fact that the stories are read by the author himself adds a nice touch.

As crazy as it sounds, I really think this audio cd helped me quit smoking. Not right away you understand. But a few years after I bought it, I decided to quit. I swear thinking about the people in these stories, helped!
And beyond that, the middle story about the hotel room gave me chills. Sweet!

Three chilling stories by Stephen King. Lunch at the Gothan Cafe, 1408, and In the Deathroom. All classic King.

This was a great audio book!! The 1408 book is totally different than the movie. Now every time I go to a restaurant I think the host will be crazy and tell me to "Get that dog out of here!!" Great listen! I would recommend this book for any King fan!

These are 3 pretty good stories. Great for passing the time while driving or working out.
Not especially scary, but entertaining. Worth 2 credits for sure.
