Astonishing in it's portrayal of humans - complicated sentance structure, perfect word play, amazing descriptions. The story itself - slightly pat, a bit hackneyed, but the words themselves make it all worthwhile.

Pleasantly surprised! This book was a little difficult to follow in the first chapter, but once you get used to the style of writing and move past the first chapter, you'll be hooked. This is a true work of literature, not just a light read. It was truly a nice change from the usual books I've read.
