Blue Calhoun A Novel
Author: Reynolds Price
"This starts with the happiest I ever was, though it brought down suffering on everybody near me. Short as it lasted and long ago, I've never laid it all out yet, not start to finish. This author was unknown to me at the time I picked up "Blue Calhoun". After reading it, I branded his name into my memory because I want to read more of his stuff.

The story itself is not unusual, but the author's insights into human frailities - and his forgiveness of them - make this a special book.
