When Susan returns to her homeland of South Africa as the wife of Dirk Hohenfield, her childhood sweetheart, she is both excited by her new life and apprehensive about stirring up painful memories. Perhaps by seeing her estranged father, a man shrouded in mystery, she can discover the answers to questions about her family that have haunted her for years.
Susan finds, however, that she must put the puzzle together by herself, piece by piece. And at the center of it lies a magnificent blue diamond that disappeared right before she and her mother left the country.. a diamond Dirk thinks she knows something about. Try to remember, Dirk tells her, for the stone is thekey to the truth. But susan knows nothing of the diamond... or does she?
