Susan was lost in a rain forest and resuced by Devin Chandler. He took her to Lara, his private kingdom. Against the wishes of his jealous, widowed sister-in-law, Devin took Susan and her brother Jeff under his wing. The cattle station gave Jeff a whole new purpose in life. For Susan, its owner presented a challenge. She was afraid, yet fascinated by Devin!
This book is fabulous! It's a story about an inexperienced, ingenue heroine who gets lost in the Outback. Her rescuer is lord of a mighty cattle station. He thinks that she is young and perhaps shouldn't be let out on her own. He invites her to remain in his home if she help his niece. Trouble ensues because she's accident-prone, impetuous, and beautiful (but doesn't know it) without the skills to fend for herself.
It's very funny and conflicts revolve around her brother who doesn't ever want to leave, her fear of her first sexuall attraction, and the niece's evil mother.
Go read the book description I am going to put there now?!? It is one of my 5 favorites by this author. It's one I have two copies of - one to read and one to keep on my shelf.
