Written for young adults - but adults will enjoy it too - this very emotional novel is set during the Battle for Britain in World War II. Sent into the countryside to avoid the bombing of London, Julie meets two brothers, one a fighter pilot, the other intending to become one also - and falls in love with both of them. The aerial battles against the German bombers take place in the rural areas too, with many deaths among the young British airmen. There is a surprising conclusion to the story that takes place after the war's end. This is a novel you will not forget, whatever your age.
