A wonderful frontier historical --
Linnea Holdstom made the mistake of her life when she was sixteen, thinking that the young man she had fallen in love with meant to stay with her forever.
He was spoiled, irresponsible and immature and he married a young woman, Ginny.
Seth Gatlin came to the Montana territory to help his stepsister and her son with the ranch that her in-laws owned.
Seth was a man who has known a deep sorrow and a heaviness of heart, there was no way he could open his heart again to such pain.
Seth slowly became immeshed in watching the goodness and strength of Linnea as she cared loveingly and happily for her elderly mother and endured the backlash of her neighbors.
Her one pleasure was in watching for and dreaming about the freedom of the wild mustangs that would thunder pass her farm.
Seth shocked her when he started to court her. Even though she couldn't allow herself, she fell in love with Seth.
Linnea possessed a grace and courage that drew him to her -- and she broke the leaden prison around his heart!
GREATLY RECOMMENDED and a very enjoyable read.
