Great book for small children! Mine loved the flaps!

THIS IS NOT A BEDTIME STORYBOOK.
It is essentially a recipe book with flaps. It has the 3 Blue's clues to find throughout the pages, but other than that, it doesn't really have a plot. The flaps make it kind of fun for your little one to read, but I wouldn't get this if you are looking for a bedtime story.
As a recipe book, it is pretty good. There are a lot of interesting and healthy snack ideas. They are all pretty simple and don't require cooking (though some do require freezing or waiting), so your little one can help out when you make them.
I will bring out the book whenever I make one of the snacks and say "Let's make a snack just like Shovel and Pail" or "Let's make Blue's favorite snack." My son loves it!
