(Also post over in Teacher's Corner.)

I was wondering if anyone had suggestions for a board game I could enjoy with my five-year-old niece. She'll probably get to do a sleepover at our house for New Year's, and I thought a table-top game (board game, cards, dice, legos, etc) would be more fun than vegging out in front of the TV. I don't mind purchasing something new since my little one will grow into in a couple of years.

So, what games have you had fun sharing with a kinder-kid?

I second Candyland, Chutes & Ladders and Go Fish.  Our five year old also likes Checkers, marbles, Sorry, Memory, Guess Who and puzzles.

Our children love Tally-Ho, Go Fish, and Matching games.

I've forgotten about Sorry! Always enjoyed it. Never heard of Tally-Ho. Thanks for the suggestions, I'm off to post-Christmas sales now.
