Please don't judge this book by the cover--in fact it is a terrible cover for this lovely story. There is such depth to these pages and you will laugh out loud and you will sob, but all this emotion comes from a well told story of love and death and best friends. Of a woman that has only one side to her and has many sides to her. Bonita Faye will shock you at what she will do to take care of the ones she cares for. How her love for two men made her a whole woman and left her with lasting memories. This is not just some chick lit--this really is a beautiful story told of a life well lived.
I work at the county jail and I've never known a murderer/murderess to be so lovable.
The story of a woman so real, it will make your jaw ache. Bonita Faye is a warm, intelligent woman who grows from having life happen to her to making life happen for her. The author does a beautiful job! I wish whoever illustrated the cover had actually READ the book. The cover looks trite and gives the reader the impression that the story is also. NOTHING is farther from the truth. This is a deep, rich character driven novel that deserves much, much more attention.
