Hi All! I've been wanting to read a book to my son that I remember from the 60's/early 70's about a poor, young boy who lives in Mexico. His mother sells ceramics to tourists at their home. One day she has to run to the store and the tourists show up early. So the little boy makes a clay horse/pony and shows the tourists how he makes it, then puts it in a homemade kiln. The tourists eat it up and buy some of his horses/ponies. When his mom gets back, she allows him to make the horses to sell from now on. I've been trying to get the title, but no luck. I thought it was something like "The Ceramic Pony" or "The Clay Horse" - but I could be completely off. Any ideas?? |
