If a book you sent goes lost, is it a bad mark against you? I have a book that shows was delivered on 7/31/09 and is about to go lost. It looks as if the person who requested it hasn't logged in since just after the request was made. I totally understand life happens and things come up but I just wanted to be sure it wouldn't be a bad mark on me. Thanks! :-) |

Nicole, You likely already know this, but the Help Center document titled, "A book I sent is lost in the mail!" gives instructions on what to do once a book you send has gone lost. If the sender does not respond within a week of contacting them, you contact the PBS Team and they will investigate. If the book truly is lost, do fill out the "mail theft" postal form linked in that document -- I've had books miraculously get delivered this way. I don't think one lost book will get anyone's account cancelled, but accounts with patterns or significant numbers of lost books would likely be scrutinized. Cheers, |

Thanks Catt! You know what is funny, I totally know about the help docs but I first thought of coming here! I spend way too much time on the forums :-) |

If they haven't logged in since they ordered the book it might deem them inactive and mark it received for you. Especially if they have had WL offers or book requests time out. |
