Wenesday is my Birthday and my family gave me what I wanted $150 worth of gift cards to Barnes and noble.

I want to buy my grandson some books. He will be 8 in may but he is on a 10 year level in reading. I would like to find him chapter books.

I also want to get a couple of books I can read to him. Mybe on the great depression or something. I read him a book about the life of Stonewall Jackson and he loved that, He also like funny books, something that will make him laugh.

I wouldn't mind a couple of homeschool books for me.

Maybe you could come up with some good educational DVD's or music CD's They have it all there.

Thanks in advance.

A Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket(there are about 10? in the series)

Spiderwick Chronicles by Tony DiTerrlizzi(not sure spelling of author, also about 5 in series)

And of course The Chronicles of Narnia C.S. Lewis

As far as dvds The History Channel has some great ones and I believe you can buy them anywhere.

Maybe a good all inclusive book about all the presidents(short bios on each one) would be a good book for you to read to him.

Oh, and if you have children of the right age, Skip Count Kid's Bible Heroes is wonderful. I think the easiest way to get it is to download from Amazon, though.
