When you advertise on the bb - how do you take it down when you are done?  Thanks in advance, Carol

You can't really take it down.  What I do is post at the end saying that the deal is over, then edit the initial post to change the subject line to say something about the deal being over.

I don't do anything to close an offer, just let it fade back in the pages. And if by chance, someone read the old message later and asked for the offer, I'd say okay.

I've noticed some people delete the entire subject line so that you can't click on their thread anymore.  Usually, though, I'd suspect people who participated might want to check it, and the "Done" subject line works quite well.

Although I'd always avoided the book bazaar previously, I got running a bit low on credits & decided to give it a shot ... it sure can be a PITA to go through the postings w/ the way the forums here are set up, and it's not something I want to do regularly, but I went on a binge, have a TON of books on their way to me, so I'm set for a few months (grin)

Carol was one of those I ordered from & she's got some fantastic books!  Her shelf was particularly appealling for me as I very much prefer hardcovers -- much easier for me to read, and as a bonus, they're much nicer as 'keepers' too - but the ease of reading is the strongest point w/ me.

If you browse the BB at all, DON'T miss looking at her shelf!   Thanks for the great deal on great books, Carol - I can't wait til they arrive!

Well, now I'm sitting here all "puffy chested"!  Thanks, Nickie!   I've read them and you are right, it is a pretty good shelf!

The one time I ran a deal I just stopped bumping it up to the front page.  Once it was off the front page there were no more responses.  If someone had seen it and asked, I would have still done the deal.  So if you have a specific deadline you want the deal stop, just go in to your OP and close it out. Don't add another post because that'll just bump it up to the top.  Edit the OP.
