I am happily suprised by the Vampire series Twilight. I have been reading them in between my book club selections. They are really quick reads and I have gotten most of my girlfriends hooked on them too. Our book club has a really diverse reading list but these books aren't my usual type of books. Has anyone read Stephanie Meyer's other series?

I got The Host for Christmas, but I haven't read it yet.  I enjoyed the series as well.  Breaking Dawn was my favorite.

I've read the first 3.  I've liked each one better than the last so far!

My 16 year old is addicted to Stephanie Meyer!  I can't order her books fast enough.  She has read all of her books and has become (only in the past 9-10 months) ADDICTED to reading!!!  YEY!!!!  Finally!!!

Seriously though, she loved the series so much that she did grab The Host and loved that too and has emailed the author asking for MORE.  No response of course but she's expanding into more authors with a similar venue and enjoying.  We did have the "you know vampires aren't real, right?!" talk.  She says "I know Mom" and heads for my bookcase where I have my TBR books and has started now on the Morganville Vampires series and is also reading the Daughters of the Moon and Sisters of Isis series but I can't get those books fast enough.  And she has an expensive habit too because she prefers hardcovers "in case I like the book I can have it to read over and over again Mom".

Sheesh, I've created a monster!!    hehehe

I prefer hard covers too!

I have Twilight sitting on my night table.  My friend purchased it for her niece for Christmas and her sister told her she was not into them so she read it herself and is now on book 4 and handed me the first one.  I now really want to finsih the book I am reading so I can start it.

book 1 and 3 were my favorites.  I had to read 4 twice before I liked it.  Even though I knew what some of it was going to be.

Now just to wait for Midnight sun!

I thought she wasn't going to publish Midnight Sun.  Has that changed?  Off to check her website.

I just finished The Host. I love it mostly because it wasn't my usual type of book.

I've gotten 6 people at work to read her books. I think most enjoyed them since it was something different for them too.

I just finished Broken Dawn on Thursday and LOVED it!!!  It's the first set of books that I've actually purchased for a long time.  My sis in law gave me the first one and I was too impatient to wait for the other 3 on here or at the library!  I'm anxious to read The Host as well!

I could not put them down!  Not my typical read but I thought they were great anyways. I read all four books in three weeks. A personal record.

I became addicted to the Twilight series and read and reread the books. After the whole fit Stephenie Meyer had over the posted draft of Midnight Sun (read it on her website if you haven't yet) I swore off Stephenie Meyer. I finally gave in and read the Host. Best book she's written. Get it and read it if you loved Twilight!

I was prepared to not like the books since it wasn't my usual read but ended up loving them.  Even re-read a couple which I NEVER do!  If you go to her website you can read about 250+ pages of midnight sun.  I think I read there that she is going to finish writing it so it can be published.  I thought it wouldn't be that interesting reading the first book again but from Edward's point of view but she does it well enough that it isn't really the first book all over again.

I'm on book 3 of the Twilight series, Eclipse.  I love these books.

I read The Host this summer in a couple of days and love it!

My DD who reads from time to time and who now LOVES reading is now looking for more from meyers.  I, too, have to admit I loved the saga of Edward and Bella.  I did not know that the first 250 pages were posted on her website.  I will have to let DD know (she probably already knows).

I enjoyed them and it was a nice change of genre for me.
