I recently sent a book to someone and when it was received the person said I sent the wrong book.

That led to a friendly discussion about the book itself.

She said that she had ordered it from the book description.  I went to check it out, the book is Deadly Greeting (Card Making Mystery Book #2) by Elizabeth Bright.  The book description is for a book called Under Pressure book #4 of an underwater investigation series by Kathy Brandt.  At first I thought it was a review I wrote and posted to the wrong place.

At this point I can't remember if I wrote a review for either book but that wouldn't show up as the book description would it?  I thought if I wrote a review it would be in the review section.  If I wrote a review for either book I can't see it now.  In fact when I look at Under Pressure there are only two reviews for it and neither one is something I wrote.

I have no idea how to fix the book description other than to contact TPBS tram.

I've found out that if you go to the bottom of this page or I guess any other almost directly under Submit Reply button is Edit Book Data.  When you click that the first thing you get is enter the ISBN.  When you do that the book you want to edit information on comes up.  Right at the top it has a box for you to enter the correction and why.  Then you can just go down the page and double check everything.  Neat feature!

If you reviewed the book it would show up in the reviews section.  If it's a heavily reviewed book you might have to hit Show All Reviews to find it though.

This sounds like an editing issues. Someone at some point submitting the wrong description for the book and it's not your fault. You don't owe her a credit in my opinion. You posted the book by ISBN and every thing matched: author, ISBN, title and binding.  You shouldn't be responsible for the book description having the wrong info about the plot.

I think the requestor has to take responsibility for not paying attention to whether the fact that the description info did not match the book info and ordering the book anyway.

It is possible that the description had been an erronious review at one point. When I see a book without a description, but a description is written up in a review, I will copy and paste it into the correct place on the book and then mark the review with a thumbs down (since basic  descriptions don't belong in the reviews). I don't think I am the only one that does this as I have seen data editors suggest it. If that happens and then enough people mark the review with a thumbs down it will eventually be removed from the book. I had thought that the review would have stayed in the reviewers list at least.

Though it sucks for the requester, as Mary said, the 4 points that needed to match did so you do not have to do anything. Since they have the book in hand, I'd recommend to them to submit a data edit with the correct info.
