I have looked and probably missed instruction on how to provide a book description if a book I want topost has none. Anyone care to give me the step-by-step? I know when you do I am going to slap my forehead and shout arrrrgh! But thanks in advance anyway. |

I do it by the "edit book data" button after you've clicked on the book title. I either type the blurb from the back or jacket, or copy it from elsewhere (often other editions of the same book have one). If someone has an easier way, hopefully they will come along! |

You can almost always find a blurb if you google the book. Borders.com and barnesandnoble.com are usually better than amazon. Amazon is missing a lot of descriptions or else the books will have a review/description instead of the blurb from the back of the cover, which is ideal. other good places for fiction descriptions: or the publishers website, OR the author's website. These are good places to get missing book covers, too. |

Frequently, if there is no "product description" on Amazon and there are reviews instead, then you click on the link that says "See all Editorial Reviews" and the Product description will be (usually) at the bottom of that list of reviews. Ruth ETA - I've found that putting the Amazon "product description" in on the Edit Data for approval results more quickly in getting a description up on the book's listing page.
